So lately I have been feeling totally lonely because none of my friends, with the exception of one, has kids. I'm 28 and none of my close friends are even trying to have babies yet. So while it didn't ever bother me before, it just kind of sucks not having my friends to meet at the park, go to chucky cheese with or just do kids stuff with... Is anyone on this boat too? Everyone is waiting so long to have kids or let alone get married!

Hmmm... when I had Mesa, I was 18. It was crazy, because I was starting my career as well. So I was doing 'adult' stuff, while most girls my age were fighting about boys and money for shopping a la The Hills.

My best friend Kimberly was the only one who could relate to me at the time. She was married too.

Her and I were so tight, though. We did everything together basically.

It's funny, because at 31, the other women who are my age and successful have not had kids yet. Some of them are starting to get married, but kids are still far off for them.

Maybe because I started my career early on and was working, I never really had time to stop and think about anything.

I literally had to strap Mesa on my back and fly here and there and had to be on point (ha ha, pun intended). If Kimberly was not there, I probably would feel bad too.

I don't like other moms who aren't already my friends....they are just weird. I mean, I meet some who are great, but it's nothing like your good ol' homegirl who gets your jokes and can tell you you're being neurotic and that maybe you shouldn't wear acid wash skinny jeans.

Don't worry, your friends will start poppin' babies soon...

yea..I could relate to what aderet says..I have quite a few friends with kids...I can understand that it sucks for you...can't you find and join some mommy groups?

Its not that simple... I work full time. Most mommy groups (I'm assuming) are geared towards SAHMs anyways. Not only that, I really don't have any interest in joining a mommy goup for the sake of having other moms to hang with. I'm really just whining about my closest friends not having babies when I want them too! LOL. Zicea is understanding my feeling... Its not that I am completely opposed to meeting new moms- its that my homegirls who know me inside out don't have that special mom bond to share with me. Luckily though they love my child like carzy!
