She may be, but everyone is different! I know plenty of people in their mid-thirties who are still too immature to have children, and there are people out there at 18 who are ready. Also, some people who have a family history of reproductive cancers choose to have children earlier than most people. Think of this way, if a person has kids at 25 as opposed to 35, they will likely be around longer to be a parent to their child. People should do whatever is the right thing for them.
When I was your age, I wasn't trying to conceive...it just happened. I was married, but it still was insane. Hell, being married at 18 is insane.
You know what happened to that baby?
She turned into a 13 year old. And she text messages...a lot. And I spend about $24,000 a year JUST for her to go to school. A good school. So she can get into a good college, and out of my house!
And she eats food. Lots of it. More than you expect a young girl to eat.
And I have to keep her away from boys. They're coming out of the woodworks.
You know what they say about tattoos? Once you get one, you can't stop?
Yep. I thought she would be my only one, but NO! I had 5 more after her. And my husband wants more. My vagina is tired, okay. Very tired.
Being pregnant is NOT fun.
Labor is called labor for a reason. Pulling out the afterbirth hurts too.
Raising them is a pain as well.
Do I love my kids? Yes. Because I have no choice. They won't go away. Like stray cats. You never feed stray cats.
If you can wait at least until your old enough to buy a gun (not to shoot your husband with, of course) that will give you SOME time to really think about it.

Are you still TTC? There are a lot of misconceptions out there about it being extremely easy if you are young. Yes, you are much more likely to conceive, but the the chances are only about 20% each month. So if you have been trying for 3 months, there is only a 60% chance of conception. Don't worry, all good things take time! I was also surprised to learn that the miscarriage rate is 10 to 25%. When I had a miscarriage at 22 years old, I felt like such a failure. Now I am 32 weeks along with another pregnancy and it is going very well. Good luck to you!!
