Why are maternity wear so expensive ?

I'm thinking about having another baby but in this economic climate im finding it tough ! . Last time when i was pregnant with my son James I found that maternity wear was so expensive that one top cost £20.00 -£40.00 dresses was £50.00 and my mother in law brought me some maternity wear because we were that broke ! Some maternity wearwas so expensive i had to buy bigger clothing , but look so frumpy ! Why is maternity wear so expensive ?. I wanted to buy a maternity swimming costume But even those were out of my price range , The ranged between £40.00 - £50.00 . There was some in mother care but they weren't stylish enough and mother care was out of our town of colchester in essex we had to travel Ipswich to get one ! There is no cheap but good maternity wear any where ? But the question was why is it so expensive ?.

i never bought maternity clothes. I just wore normal ones a few sizes bigger. :)

Hello guys not all maternity clothes are expensive. Still there are sites online that offer good quality affordable maternity clothing, after all the more money you save on maternity wear, the more you will have to spend on your baby.

Thats true. There's are loads of different Maternity wear sites to choose from and not all do colourfull Maternity swimwear tankinis that acutualy fit properly some companys sizes are way to big . So why pay over the top for rubbish that don't last you 5 mins.
