If you guys have pointers for curbing the hitting and pushing behavior. I haven't been able to get through to my son. Telling him no hasn't worked. Demonstrating gentle behavior does not seem to mean anything to him. Giving a time-out doesn't stop it. I am sure it is a phase, but I would really like this phase to be over with.
Additionally, I am 2 days into attempting to night wean. We co-sleep as well. It has been tough going. But I feel it is finally time....

we're done nursing long time ago( her decision,not mine unfortunately) and she's been sleeping in her room since she was 2 months old..My 20 mos is very much into books,says a lot of words, can count to 10 without skipping any number, she eats pretty much everything I give her . She tends to hit only when she gets mad but she;ll heat the couch ,table or such. I think this is the best age and the most chalenging also.

My 21 mo is still nursing and co-sleeping. (hoping to wean my 2nd birthday) He's into baseball, basketball and golf more than trucks these days. Very active. He's saying "Mine" alot and we're also working on the whole hitting thing. They are tons more fun but also more challenging as I'm trying to incorporate more discipline.

Just checking in on this page... Currently my 20 month old is very into trains. Starting to eat more food (seemed very uninterested for a while). He unfortunately like to hit and shove other kids, so we are working on that. He vocabulary is growing. Still nursing. What about you guys??
