About My Family

My wife and I have been actively trying to get pregnant for over 2 years. We succeeded last year, until she had a miscarriage in September. We continued trying until she got pregnant again on New Year's Day! Woo Hoo!

What are your children's names and birth dates?

None yet, though we've pretty much narrowed the names down to a final choice per sex. Due date is Sept 26th...

Are you considering having more?

YES!

How would you describe your parenting philosophy?

Not sure yet. We've talked about parenting for 7 years now, and pretty much agree on most issues. I think our style will depend on the child. Once we meet him/her, we'll have a better idea of how we'll deal...

What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?

ummm.... book? LOL... I've been reading lots of magazines. They hold my interest better than the books. She's been reading a pregnancy book, so maybe she'll be the one to read the parenting books as well. ;)

What are your family’s favorite books and toys?

And Tango makes three!!!! <----- GET IT! It's so cute. We buy it for EVERY baby shower we go to.

What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?

Way too many to list. Soon to be shortened quite a bit. My 3 year old niece LOVES Dorah. I can handle her in spurts, but my wife can't deal with the constant yelling.... It makes me giggle...

What are your family's favorite foods?

Pizza. I know it's boring and not very good for us. I wish I could say organic spinach walnut salad with cranberries, strawberries and goat cheese, but we're just not that interesting. Besides, she can't have goat cheese right now anyhow... ;)

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

Home.... friends' houses...

What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?

Way too busy... Also soon to end... or at least change to a different kind of busy.

What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?

What ever they want... Doctor, Painter, Writer, Pro basketball player, Advocate, President???

Describe your most humbling parenting moment.

none yet... except this weeks ultrasound was pretty cool. Our kids a ham already... waving at the 'camera' and rolling over to face us during the ultrasound. First ultrasound all wee saw was a blobby-shrimp with 'Jazz Hands'... I ran around work making jazz hands at everyone. They all thought I was crazy.
