My husband is a professor at Cornell and I am lucky enough to stay at home with our daughter Nellia, born Nov. 2007.

How would you describe your parenting philosophy?

I am into "best practice and if not, then best intentions." I like the Sears family parenting style as it is very much like this.

What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?

I like Dr. Sears books

What are your family’s favorite books and toys?

Goodnight Moon!

What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?

We love LOST and many other shows. We don't have cable, but watch TV online and have netflix for movies.

What are your family's favorite foods?

I love pizza, my husband likes meat and potatoes, Nellia likes Mum Mums

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

Any of the "Gorges" parks around Ithaca

Describe your most humbling parenting moment.

When Nellia was about a month and a half old, she was swaddled and I was nursing her with my feet up on a small stool. She arched her back and rolled all the way down my legs onto the floor. No injuries, but Neil and my parents were there, so I was pretty embarassed.
