Before embarking on my self employment as a textile artist I was halfway through my part time MLitt in Ancient History - I thought it would be possible to have a baby and go on studying and work part time (I was self funding)....

I've got friends who used to live in Japan and one of their children was born there.

About My Family: I am a medical anthropologist and my husband studies Japanese literature. We are moving to Japan for his research with our then-three month old baby in October. Should be an adventure!

Describe your most humbling parenting moment.: When my baby choked drinking from a glass bottle because the flow was too fast...I had to go out and get a plastic bottle that worked for him. I realized I might have ideologies and philosophies, but they might not quite mesh with his needs.
