How would you describe your parenting philosophy?

Observe closely, intervene judiciously. Snuggle lots. If it makes him laugh, do it again, whatever it is. Be a little like my mother, but not too much.

Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child; The Creative Family

What are your family’s favorite books and toys?

My favorite toys are the nice hippie wooden ones, blocks, etc. His favorite are those darn noisy plastic ones that someone gave us.

What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?

No TV, but the Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau may come in on DVD one day.

What are your family's favorite foods?

It's summer, so tomatoes & peaches. All the fruit growing on our road along the edges of everyone's yards. Bread & cheese. Arugula.

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

The backyard, Annadel State Park, Sonoma Plaza, the beach (Bolinas, Salmon Creek, any beach)
