About My Family

We love the Lord Jesus as our Lord and Savior, My Husband Max and I have 4 lovely girls and 3 handsome boys together and we have been married together now for 18+yrs. God has been blessing us with new beginnings and we thank Him for all the great gifts esp to call us children of the living God as it says in 1John 3;1-2

Kayla 18, Max Jr 16, Angelina 8, Quintin 7, IndiAna 5, Julio 3 and Mikaila 12-13-08

How would you describe your parenting philosophy?

We follow what Jesus did...he is the good shephard who leads those with young gently Isaiah 40 and when one is lost he goes out of His way to find the one lost and comforts his flock with his rod and staff and he picks them up and puts them on his shoulder and holds them close to his heart and annoints their heads with oil. I want to be wise like my heavenly father and not let the world influence me in raising my children...I want to train them up in God's ways so that if ever they stray away from home they will always know God is always with them and never will they be forsaken but that they are richly Blessed in Jesus!

What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?

The Holy Bible, The power of a praying mom and so any book that is inspired by God to help the family

What are your family’s favorite books and toys?

We are enjoying "Yes your baby can read" series right now...my kids enjoy learning and playing games online and going to the library to get books and do crafts there. They enjoy outings with the church, playing on the swings in the backyard, bike riding and playing with soldiers or action figures and dolls.

What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?

We enjoy watching educational tv like pbs shows, christian tv, the family channel, some disney shows and movies

What are your family's favorite foods?

We enjoy eating Puerto Rican and Spanish foods, Rice Beans Chicken Pork Beef, salads, avocados, fruits, Pizzas, Tacos, Lasagna, Speghetti Meatballs from home, Greens, Baked foods like mastaccoli, mac and cheese, home made soups and deserts like brownies, cakes, breads, cookies and pies. and I enjoy a hot cup of coffee with flavorings and my hubby plain coffee or soda and my kids love hot chocolate or cocoa in the morning or before bed.

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

We go to the park, church, library or restaurant playlots. But mostly you will find us at home in front playing or backyard.

What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?

Never a dull moment, Energized, Loving and Blessed

What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?

In loving families raising children and putting their talents to use in a career or workplace and giving to God.

Describe your most humbling parenting moment.

When we didn't have a place to live and the kids and I had to sleep in a shelter or seperate so that we could have a place to stay with family and not able to give them a meal from the restaurants or even cook for them myself due to lack of income.
