- What are your children's names and birth dates?
- Westley Oliver -- 1 year
- Are you considering having more?
- Yup.
- How would you describe your parenting philosophy?
- Relaxed and groovy.
- What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?
- 'Operating Instructions: A Journal of My Son's First Year' by Anne Lamott
- What are your family’s favorite books and toys?
- Right now, Westley loves "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" And nothing beats good ol' wooden blocks and a rubber ball (unless it's the contents of my purse).
- What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?
- Westley isn't really interested in TV right now. He liked "Dancing with the Stars" for a while, but I think this last season disappointed him.
- What are your family's favorite foods?
- If I let him, Westley would live on avocado washed down with breast milk. He also loves black beans, corn, beets, soy yogurt, and tofu.
- What are your family's favorite places to hang out?
- Any park with a swingset.
- What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?
- Exuberant
- What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?
- Loving life.
- Describe your most humbling parenting moment.
- Trying to feed my eensy baby in baggage claim at SEA-TAC while waiting for a friend. I had no comfortable place to sit, not much skill breastfeeding, and nothing to cover myself. Awesome.
- Who are you looking to meet on The Playground?
- Friends.
