- About My Family
- I'm Caiti and my husband Alan and I have been married since July 2007. We met while living in California but relocated to New Jersey when we got married. Our two dogs were our only "children" until our son was born a week and a half ago! Alan works as a copy editor and page designer for the newspaper and I am a SAHM, at least for now.
- What are your children's names and birth dates?
- Our son Samuel Edison was born on Dec. 9th, 2008. Sam is 12 days old at the time of this writing.
- Are you considering having more?
- Yes, but we need a bigger house first!
- How would you describe your parenting philosophy?
- We don't exactly have a parenting philosophy yet. We have several parenting books but we are sort of making it up as we go along and taking advice from more experienced parents.
- What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?
- I'll let you know when I find out what works!
- What are your family’s favorite books and toys?
- I read "On the Day You Were Born" to Sam for the first time this evening and I almost cried.
- What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?
- noisy
- What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?
- I can't imagine my baby all grown up!
- Describe your most humbling parenting moment.
- Nothing yet... But then we haven't been out in public yet. I guess the closest I can come is when Sam and I were still in the hospital and I had to ask the mean nurse how to burp him.
- Who are you looking to meet on The Playground?
- I'd love to meet parents who live nearby, parenys with kids in the same age group as Sam, and more experienced parents who would like to share advice.
