About My Family

I am a stay at home mom to one daughter. She is 7 years old. My partner works full time. I live in AZ, but moved here only 4 yrs ago from MT. We have 3 dogs right now. Want one? Ha Ha!!

What are your children's names and birth dates?

Marena, 7 yrs old.

Are you considering having more?

I want more, but its not in the cards right now.

How would you describe your parenting philosophy?

Relaxed and calm most of the time, as well as strict about certain things.

What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?

The joys of raising a child in today's society.

What are your family’s favorite books and toys?

We are a game playing family. We play everything from candyland and sorry to Disney dvd bingo and yahtzee.
We love the Tinker Bell books and the Harry Potter books.

What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?

Sleeping Beauty is the favorite around here. We also like Wizards of Waverly Place and The Harry Potter movies.

What are your family's favorite foods?

Everything that is homecooked. I cook all my foods from scratch like my Mom did for her children.

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

The park. The Mall and the Zoo.

What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?

Entertaining.

What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?

My daughter wants to work at Freightliner just like her dad.

Describe your most humbling parenting moment.

When I took my girl to play at a friend's house and she came home and asked me what an alcoholic is. Trying explaining that to a five year old.

Who are you looking to meet on The Playground?

Other parents that have children similiar to my girl's age. Anyone that just wants to chat.
