About My Family

My husband and I have been married almost 3 years and our son is now 16 months old. We don't get to spend much time as a family these days but when we do, we enjoy going to the park and relaxing. My husband is in the process of changing jobs, so there's lots of traveling and hopefully a move in the next few months. =)

What are your children's names and birth dates?

Kai, 16 months

Are you considering having more?

Yes definitely. If all goes well I think we would like to have at least 3...maybe more =).

How would you describe your parenting philosophy?

I like to let him explore as long as he isn't causing any trouble. I guess I'm kind of strict when we are in public places but at home he runs free and plays with anything that he can't hurt himself with. He eat's whenever he wants.

What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?

I suppose the American Academy of Pediatrics Birth to age 5 book

What are your family’s favorite books and toys?

Kai is really into Thomas the train at the moment, so pretty much any Thomas book or toy. He also likes trucks, sand toys, anything with letters or numbers, puzzles, and magnadoodle.

What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?

Sesame street and thomas DVDs. SuperWhy is one of the best TV shows ... he learned lowercase letters and i didnt even know until he was watching the show and saying the letters.

What are your family's favorite foods?

thai rolls, corn muffins, pizza, crackers and cereal

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

parks and beaches

What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?

usually it would be relaxed, but with jordan job hunting and a move coming up it's kind of stressed haha

What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?

whatever... hopefully just being good loving people
