About My Family

I'm Dana; he's Daniel. We've been married for nine years, and the love of our lives entered our world five weeks early in November, 2007. Who's that? Our son, Zayn Rhys. We have three cats: Miao, Skimbleshanks, and Buddha.

Dana is an instructional design and e-learning development consultant for various clients ... currently, a radiation oncology machine and software manufacturer and a telecommunications company. Daniel is a sales lead for a telecommunications company.

We live on the Jacksonville/St. Augustine, FL border. Dana is a Jacksonville native; Daniel was born in San Diego and moved around quite a bit until his parents settled in Jacksonville when he was five (Navy brat).

We are attached, connected parents who respond to Zayn's needs with love and respect.

For the adults, anything sci-fi. For the munchkin, Llama Llama Red Pajama, Llama Llama Mad at Mama, Puff the Magic Dragon, all of the Eric Carle books.

Fringe, House, Lost, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory

What are your family's favorite foods?

Thai, Asian fusion, American, Organic

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

Home ... because it's so hot here in Florida. As we move into the milder seasons and as Zayn becomes more mobile, we'll frequent parks more.

What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?

Tired

What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?

Right now, I think we have a drummer in our future ... or a profession that requires him to be up all night.
