We're copy-editors happily co-habitating in a brick house in Denton, TX with another similarly structured family. Our little blondie, Charlie, is 15 months and loves puppies as much as his Mom and Dad.

How would you describe your parenting philosophy?

Post-modern. We ask a lot of questions; both to Charlie and to ourselves.

What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?

Motherhood in the Age of Anxiety and Alternadad (for what not to do)

What are your family’s favorite books and toys?

Oh! Anything Roald Dahl or Shel Silverstein. We're also big Sandra Boynton and Mo Willem fans.

What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?

Yo Gabba Gabba. The wife and I love Mad Men, Lost and Top Chef.

What are your family's favorite foods?

Charlie loves blueberries. The rest of us like boba tea, and healthy Italian food.

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

The courthouse lawn on the square, coffee shops and anywhere a puppy might happen to be.

What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?

Strange

What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?

something artistic. Lynds says Charlie is going to be into musical theatre. We'll see.

Describe your most humbling parenting moment.

Aren't they all humbling? Probably the first time I asked Charlie for a hug and he actually GAVE on to me.
