- About My Family
- My husband and I chose to be stay-at-home parents. That means we both work from home, but trade off time so that our son has the benefit of having both of us around all the time. I teach piano to kids as young as 3, while my husband teaches personal protection, combatives and martial arts.

- How would you describe your parenting philosophy?
- Relax, and let your kid be a kid. We find that if we let Odin do his own thing, he benefits by gaining more independence and confidence. We're excited that he's learning all the time, and doesn't miss a thing!
- What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?

- What are your family’s favorite books and toys?
- We have so many books around it's not even funny. Our son picks them up on a regular basis, and loves looking through them on his own. We go to the library at least once a week.
- What are your family’s favorite TV shows or movies?
- Backyardigans, Spiderman, Batman: Brave and the Bold, Superhero Squadron, Superman.... Our son loves superheroes. They have qualities that we want him to learn as he grows up.
- What are your family's favorite foods?
- my son loves my cookies. I refuse to give him store-bought cookies, so I can sneak in nutritious things into the cookies. He eats pretty much everything though. Shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, baked fish in soy sauce with ginger, spaghetti, stewed chicken with pine mushrooms, shtump-pot (kale, mashed potatoes with sausage), roasted squash and beats, borscht, beef stroganoff, ... too many things that I can't really name them.

- library, park, riverside, music studio, martial arts studio, ...
- What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?
- active
- What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?
- being a genuine caring human being
