I never considered the Four Seasons hotel chain, or Chicago for that matter, particularly family-friendly destinations. But they’ve both proved me wrong with Four Seasons Chicago’s latest amenities, which go to great lengths to pamper your little VIP.

A Bedtime Stories Butler helps young guests wind down from a busy day in the Windy City. (Kids can choose from a selection of classic tales presented on a silver tray.) The healthy yet fun children’s menu includes Dinosaur Oatmeal, Fresh Fruit Kabobs and Build Your Own Tacos. (At the restaurant, lounge or café, kids are also treated to colouring books and crayons and there’s even a special high chair for accompanying dolls!) And families taking part in the Kids In The City package even get complimentary room service. But my favourite service has to be their Radio Flyer wagon program, which lets you tote your little rock star (and all his gear) through Chicago’s parks, lakefront, beach or zoo in a wagon built for two.

And if your little diva is still not impressed, you can request a visit from the Ice Cream Man, who’ll bring his travelling soda fountain to your room and make ice cream sundaes for the whole family. Nothing but sweet dreams after that, kiddo. (After the sugar rush crash, of course.)
