Friday: Marcus went to Philadelphia for the parade in celebration of the Phillies winning the World Series. MIchael refused to wear his costume, but did enjoy the Halloween costume at day care. We had only 2 trick or treat visits. Go figure, the first time I have candy.

Saturday: Met Mom and Pam (sister) at the mall. An attempt to keep my mom's spirits up. Michael enjoyed hanging with Auntie Pam and eating "Ma-Ma's" (Grandma's) ice cream. I attempted to go see a movie and was thwarted once again. Had a Quesadilla Explosion salad at Chili's instead.

Sunday: Michael and I took a long walk to the playground and the lake. When we returned, I stopped to get some wipes for his dirty hands from my car. Michael decided he'd rather get in the car and listen to "Balance Beep" (Laurie Berkner's song "Balance Beam"). So we sat in the car eating Goldfish crackers and listening to music. Later on we watched football, made mac n cheese and built things with Legos (at least I did). Michael wouldn't go down to sleep. Cried every time I put him to bed, tossed and turned when I tried to lay down with him. I ended up loading him into the car for a ride. He fell asleep after 30 minutes. Got him home, tried to transition to bed but he ended up crying for another 5 minutes or more before finally (FINALLY) falling asleep. Now I have to wind down...
