- Gia is 1 year old

- Fat chance.
- How would you describe your parenting philosophy?
- Very liberal mother who is a fan of values and simple morals. Aside form that... I like to try and live green for the babe, teaching her about karma and the arts.
- What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?
- like an instruction manual? psah!
- What are your family’s favorite books and toys?
- misc hair from the carpet, musical toys of all varieties and books
Also a huge lover of anything not child appropriate (ie. the remote, cabinet knobs, buddha statues)
- What are you family’s favorite TV shows or movies?
- Not a fan of the tube for the big girl!
- What are your family's favorite foods?
- GREEN BEENS! Pirates booty, snap peas, toast, cream cheese, and occasionally ice cream- any flavor
- What are your family's favorite places to hang out?
- ANY park with swings and the sounds of children. Other than that..used books tores, bagel shops and in my room and Gia's safety haven
- What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?
- loving
- What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?
- she's unpredictable like me so .... I have NO clue I do see her being very independent and traveling though.
- Describe your most humbling parenting moment.
- telling her father he needs to watch her constantly that she can fall down at anytime, and really driving home the point with horrible scenarios, when, what? whats that? CRASH!! G falls over and gets a little knot on her head. sigh. No one is perfect, right?
- Who are you looking to meet on Ning?
- The raddest 'rents on the planet. Babble brings together a very cool class of people.

Puke
The smell of puke is haunting me. Maybe it's taunting me, I have no clue. Either way, I smell it and it wont go away. There is something neat that GiGi does - which is hide her spit up, barf, puke, vomit, what-have-you.
I am sitting her and I smell it, but I can't see it or find it. I've searched and all I come up with is a funky scent. THIS is my friday night :|

It's been a hard week here, so I was probably just looking for something to cry about, but your post really struck me. I can only imagine what it must be like to explore a world without sight. You and Gigi are such wonderful, sensitive people. Sorry, just blubbering. I agree with others that the kid probably wasn't really that concerned, so wasting a "teaching" moment on him doesn't sound worth it, but I know I would spend most of my life trying anyway. Probably annoy my child to death once he or she understood what I was trying to do. My hats off to you - you've got a lot ahead of you.
I recently signed up and was happy to see that's you're a member too. I eagerly wait for updates on your Babble blog, and will now check out the other one as well. I left you a few comments already, I just think GiGi is a-do-rable and that you're doing such a wonderful job taking care of her...
thanks we thought long and hard about a name cause we're raising Wilhelm tri-lingual so the name had to work in all the different languages.
Your little girl is super cute. I read your blog a little while back and I can't imagine how hard it must be to find out your little one can't see.
I'm trying to blog a bit myself but I hardly ever have time. Wilhelm is taking up all my time and energy. aw well I can't complain really I guess that's just the way it is with a soon one year old in the house.
