April, Aaron and Esme live in Brooklyn where we walk our dog, swim at the Red Hook Pool and have regular dance parties.

What are your children's ages and names?

Esme B - she turned 2 in February '08.

Hmm, that is an interesting question...

How would you describe your parenting philosophy?

We laugh a lot at our daughter. Is that wrong?

What's your favorite parenting book (if any)?

Michel Cohen's, The New Basics

What are your family’s favorite books and toys?

Esme has the Elmo addiction, so anything that looks like Elmo and maybe speaks, dances or pees in the potty is good with her. She also obsessively collects babies, much to her mother's consternation.

What are you family’s favorite TV shows or movies?

See Elmo problem above. Also Yo Gabba Gabba and Charlie & Lola for TV. We let her watch The Wizard of Oz even though very age-inappropriate and she totally loved it and in spite of all of her mothers flinching, did not seem scared of the monkeys.

What are your family's favorite foods?

She has an entire song about rice, I would say that qualifies as a 'favorite'.

What are your family's favorite places to hang out?

Habana Outpost in the summer, Coney Island, Prospect Park Zoo, Camel Park!!! And at friend's houses, Oona and Daphne's and Wiles and Ashland's.

What one adjective would you choose to describe your household?

Goofy

What do you see your kids doing when they grow up?

Supermodel neurosurgeon.

Describe your most humbling parenting moment.

When I realized that all of Esme's friends were allowed to drink juice that wasn't watered down, have lollipops and play with pennies and yet they still lived.
