- About My Family
- We are aiming at symmetry, which is either proof that we're crazy or that we are a new form of kung-fu warrior unit. My love is an upright bass player - which is something you do at night. I am a magazine maker (editor and publisher) - which is something you do in the daytime. Our three year old son Felix is an automotive freak. Our bullterrier bitch Pipi is a coach patote and our staff bullterrier dog Gitek makes brooding faces to cover up the fact that he is, infact, very confused. In my belly is Flora which will make it three girls to three boys in our smallish downtown Warsaw apartment....

- How would you describe your parenting philosophy?
- trying not to spoil them. enjoying thier childhood (kung fu panda rulez!). getting out of the house as much as possible. never giving up on ourselves.

- What are your family’s favorite books and toys?
- Felix is a car nut. Hot wheels and his bicycle are what rocks his world.
His current book fav are Julek i Julka - the adventures of two five year old neighbors in small town Holland.
- What are you family’s favorite TV shows or movies?
- We love anything Pixar and Dreamworks. Just saw Kung Fu Panda. We (the rents) liked it way more then Felix, but hey. Life is tough :-).

Defensitration - do not necessarily try this at home....
If you live in an apartment, have kids, and your apartment is not some attic loft with windows only in the ceiling, then you too have nightmares about your kid/s falling to thier deaths from your bedroom window, innocently cracked open to let in a breeze. N actually had a real honest to goodness nightmare where Felek plunged from our window and N tried to ctach him, missing by fractions of an inch. A linguistic transgender?
Polish - which is what you have to speak when you live here - is an overly complex language that is very resistant to upgrades and simplifications though it has, like all things old world, it's many charms. One of the drags of speaking Polish is that you have to conjugate verbs AND nouns according to gender, which is particularly tough to master for young speakers like Felek. Blog-head - the beginning
I haven't a spare second these days for blogging what with trying to prepare for Flora's arrival (end of august) and finish all the projects I won't have time for when she does. Our son Felek, however, as he gets more and more talkative, keeps writing blog posts in my head!
